I am an avid baseball fan and subscribe to MLB.com's "On-Demand" service. When I try to watch the games in Beta2 build 5383, the page loads fine, the flash applet seems to work well, however the embedded Windows Media Player throws an error that states, "Windows Media Player cannot play the file. The Player might not support the file type or might not support the codec that was used to compress the file." (the page is trying to run it as a .jsp). There is also a tool tip that tells me that I need to "click to activate this control" in the media player itself. I have done this several times, I have even made sure that all of my updates, Flash and otherwise, are applied.
I'm sure that this is most likely an issue the MLB.com embedded player to start with, but that fact that I cannot use this feature in Vista Beta 2 doesn't make me any happier because we can blame MLB.com.
As of now, I will just keep watching my On Demand games via XP since I don't have any choice, but it would be nice to see this player (and others, I'm sure) start working in Vista. This is not limited to B2 either...I have tried in newer builds and the problem is still there. Does anyone have a work around that will let me watch the games in Vista?

MLB.TV will not work in Beta2

It is working great for me. I am using Vista beta2 5384 which is slightly different than your 5383. Try the technical FAQ at MLB.com, and you may get some info there.
Now, if I could just get downloaded MP3's to play!
